The inaugural release of the Brave Tiger catalog. Bird Children represents the first instance of a purely solo work—written, tracked, and performed entirely by the artist.
The Session
The track was born from a moment of forced isolation. Upon the arrival of a new guitar and an impending snowstorm, the song was written and tracked over the course of 48 hours in the basement of the West Medford facility.
Production Notes
While the tracking remained local to Brave Tiger Studio, the production expanded to include a remote mix by Bradford Swanson in Brooklyn and a final master by Mark Alan Miller at Radio Valkyrie (J Mascis, Pernice Brothers).
The accompanying visual was captured and edited in a single day of solo production, adhering to the project’s core directive: Why not?
Evidence
"A humorous ditty about waking up to snow and having to deal with it... the longtime local musician's first-ever song."
