Jesse Sterling Harrison is an Easthampton, Massachusetts singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose work ranges from spare solo-acoustic songs to dense, style-crossing studio records and film soundtracks. A longtime fixture of the Western Massachusetts music scene, he has recorded and performed under his own name and as Corson Overlord and Mystic Warrior, and played with the bands Hector, Product 19, Emma’s Garden, and Stone Bull. A graduate of Hampshire College’s music program, Harrison folds funk, metal, Americana, folk, and postpunk into songwriting that is personal, political, and visceral.
Across nearly three decades of writing and recording, Harrison has released a steady run of solo albums alongside concept records like The Weirdo’s Dream (2022), film soundtracks including Girl in the Basement (2015), and political folk song-cycles such as tales from the pelham hills (2020). In August 2026, Brave Tiger Records issues Catch and Release Program, an archival solo-acoustic album recorded in 1998 in a Northampton apartment Harrison shared with BTR founder Joshua Thayer — twelve songs of voice and guitar, remastered by Thayer for their first digital release nearly three decades later.
It’s those early, unadorned recordings that many listeners still connect with most — the plain-spoken directness and vocal command that run through everything Harrison has made since, whether he’s writing for a full studio or singing alone in the corner of a room.
